In March 2019 I rode my first Ride for Youth on the Wheatbelt route, I trained and raised funds for Youth Focus again in '21 & '22 but was unable to do those rides due to CVD. related stuff, so this feels like unfinished business.
I love cycling for its health benefits, challenges and community. I am also passionate about the cause we are riding for! Having lost multiple friends in my younger years ( including my best friend at the time) to suicide and having three kids in their 20's, I know the challenges that our youth face and why it is all to easy for them to believe that things appear hopeless sometimes.
I know from my own challenges, that with the right perspective and professional help there is hope. Now more than ever we need to show our young people we care and understand. We need to show them a way through their darkness; Youth Focus has been doing this for over 20 years and have helped turn around many young lives.
I feel honored to be sharing this journey with my wonderful wife Antonia and the rest of Team Ooh; Frankie, Le Ox, Hedgey, Lord Hales and Smithy.
I am really to looking forward to doing the Coastal route this year after previously completing "Wheatbelt", getting out and seeing the kids at their schools and sharing the passion, emotion and purpose of the ride with the rest of the Coastal team.
Thank you for your support, I am always blown away by the generosity of so many people.
