I began riding during quarantine to keep fit, and found it surprisingly enjoyable. This led to me making the switch over from football to triathlons, and my enjoyment for cycling has gradually grown from there. I took the plunge last year and decided to do the ride with my dad Cam, and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. This year I’ve got a few mates who have decided to give it a crack, so I’m looking forward to training with them.
I’ve seen first hand the toll that mental illness have on an individual, as well as the flow on effects it has on their friends and family, so by doing this ride I’m hoping to raise as much money and spreading as much awareness as possible about what Youth Focus stands for, and the benefits it is having in the community.
