At 47 I am really looking forward to my 1st Hawaiin Ride for Youth to raise funds and awareness for Youth Focus- Youth focus supports younger West Australians with their mental health regarding anxiety and depression to prevent the very serious issue of youth suicide.
As a father of 3 young girls (13,10 & 8), I can fully understand the battles that young people are tackling and the impact it has not only on them individually but also their broader family, friends and support network.
The resilience required to tackle mental health issues is not built in a linear path and the journey can be frustrating and a daily battle. Organisations like Youth Focus can supply the tools, support and strategies needed to make a true difference to a young persons life.
