Delighted to be back for my 3rd Ride For Youth!
I believe that next years ride will likely be more important that any, given the untold challenges that 2020 has brought to so many.
Sadly suicide remains the number one preventable cause of death in the under 25's, and with mental health issues on the rise, the work that Youth Focus does is ever important. Their free services, including face to face, online counselling and mental health workshops literally saves lives.
As a rider I have committed to raise awareness and funds to ensure that this continues to be possible.
Together with other Lycra clad bike-riding enthusiasts, next March I will ride from Albany to Perth, covering almost 700kms through our scenic Wheatbelt.
En route the peleton will stop in rural community schools to talk about mental health issues and share stories that will hopefully help those at risk reach out in times of struggle.
As a rider I am funding my training program and costs associated with the ride, but I need your help to raise the $5000 that all riders commit to as part of their participation.
Please lend your support by following my personal fundraising link and be proud to make a difference to West Australian youth.
All donations big and small are deeply appreciated.
With sincere thanks in advance,
