Day Two: Coastal 2021

Go Back

Today the riders travelled with beautiful weather 130 kilometres from Walpole to Pemberton. This is the most amount of traffic that’s been seen before on the Coastal route, with lots of caravans to safely navigate.

The riders visited Pemberton District High School, and Michael Pyne of Team BNK spoke to students all the way from Kindergarten to Year 6. Students from St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School also joined the session.

Michael spoke brilliantly about exercise and its importance on mental health and wellbeing, and our massage therapists led the students in exercises to “Happy” by Pharrell. Seeing the young students dancing happily was a highlight of the day!

Tonight, the Coastal peloton will have dinner tonight at Best Western Pemberton before heading to Busselton tomorrow.
