I have joined the 2020 Hawaiian Ride for Youth to help raise funds and awareness of youth suicide and mental health.
Education, access, continuity of care, crisis support, and targeted youth mental health services in the community can make a lifesaving difference to young people experiencing mental ill health.
Suicide is the leading cause of death in Australians aged between 15 and 44, with the suicide rate for males three times that of females
In March, I will be riding 700kms over 4.5 days from Albany to Perth. During ride week, our teams will visit more than 25 high schools and talk to over 3500 WA high school students across regional Western Australia. Key mental health messages will be delivered by the Ride for Youth Clinical team.
Funds raised go to Youth Focus, a WA based not-for-profit organisation providing mental health services to thousands of young people each year.
Help us save our beautiful kids 💗 xx
