I first did this event back in March 2018, with training commencing a week after our second child (Austin) joined our family. Now after having two beautiful kids, and reflecting on our time as teenagers, the work that Youth Focus does really struck a cord with my wife (Andrea) and I. We had different experiences at school, with bullying etc, but we both agreed that there were certainly some tough times. Youth Focus is an organisation that is committed to provide unlimited help with no questions asked.
This will be my second time participating in the ride and Arc Infrastructure’s sixth time and we are all looking forward to raising much-needed funds and awareness of our children’s and youth’s continuing battle against depression, self-harm and suicide.
Over the next 5 months two teams from Arc Infrastructure will all be riding around 4000km in preparation to ride 700km in 4.5 days in March of 2020 (that's from Albany, up through my home town of Bridgetown, back into Perth - the equivalent of over 1,500 laps of Subi oval)!
It’s a big challenge but the whole team are giving it all we have got in the hope that we can make a difference.
You’ll be happy to know that we cover all of our costs to participate in the ride, to ensure that every cent of your donation goes to Youth Focus which will enable them to provide free counselling to those in need.
Every donation helps with this effort and no amount is too little. Please give generously what you can and together we may change the life of a young West Australian.
Thank you very much for your donation I really appreciate your help and remember that you are helping to make a difference!!
