This will be my second year completing the ride. Last year's ride was physically the toughest challenge I have ever done and I said all the way through the training how one ride would be enough and that I probably wasn't going to do it again. As soon as I hopped off the bike in Kings Park, an overwhelming feeling came over me and I knew I had to ride again, and so here I am.
My story and reason for riding are the same as last year;
Having grown up without a dad, experiencing an unhealthy relationship with my mum to one that is now non-existent, moving out of home when I was 16, spending years lost, angry and scared I know all too well what it feels like to feel misunderstood, lonely & worthless.
There is a quote that says "You were given this life because you are strong enough to live it." I now know that I went through everything in my past because I am supposed to use what I have learnt and share my experiences and story to help the Youth of today understand that they are not alone in their struggles and that there are people out there who will listen to them when they speak.
Youth Focus are an incredible organization and I am lucky enough to be able to join and support them and the kids they help by completing the ride. Any and all donation sizes are extremely appreciated. Not just by me, but the youth of today.
Thank you for your donation!!
Wish me luck!
