This is my fourth time doing ride for youth.
It is a great event, a big challenge and a wonderful example of part of the community taking on an issue and making a difference. I am very proud to be a part of the Ride for Youth Family.
My day job as a corporate lawyer brings me into contact with a good cross-section of WA's business leaders and that gives me the chance to raise awareness of Youth Focus and the wonderful work it does. Nothing is more important that providing support to our youth when they are facing issues that they just need a friendly non-judgmental ear to listen to them and provide some guidance.
Having done the ride before, I have had direct experience of kids coming up to me letting me know that they have used the counselling service and how much it helped them when they needed it.
My wife Kate and I have three children, 2 girls and their younger brother. Our eldest is 17 and is just about to emabark on her WACE exams, so there will be a lot happening in our household between now and Christmas.
