This is my 5th Hawaiian Ride for Youth....each year I think I am done...but the camaraderie, the spirit of the ride as well the importance of the issue seduces me back...I am reminded that its the journey and not the destination (as a wise rider once told me)...so I am having another go no doubt this year will have the same frustration, elation, tears and laughs.
However as the CEO of WAPHA its about walking the talk...leadership to WAPHA staff and stakeholders about youth mental health - a collective effort can make a difference - so Team WAPHA seeks to let primary care be aware of our commitment to young people in hope others might like to step up to reduce stigma and raise awareness.
