I met this bunch of cyclists in 2018 and learnt about the Hawaiian Ride For Youth. In March this year I rode from Albany to Perth through the Wheatbelt raising money for young people to access mental health services. It was an amazing experience speaking at schools along the way, sharing stories, and raising awareness of mental illness and youth suicide.
Having experienced the impact of depression in my family, and anxiety as part of grief, I understand the importance of accessing support, and the role of mental health services.
Here I am embarking on my second ride.
Along with an opportunity to contribute to the important work of Youth Focus, I love having a group of people to ride with, sharing a laugh and a coffee.
I had so much encouragement from my family, friends and new team mates, and thank you for supporting me again in 2020.
