I am very much looking forward to participating in my fourth Ride for Youth from the 20th to 24th March 2018. I enjoy the camaraderie associated with the ride, and hopefully all the riders will be able to raise the target of over $2 million dollars.
I will be doing the Geraldton to Perth route going through Morawa, Dalwalinu, New Norcia and Northam - a total of over 700km. I will be preparing for the ride by training 3 times a week for the next 5 months.
The Hawaiian Ride for Youth is a fundraiser for Youth Focus which is a non-profit organisation that offers a range of free mental health support services for vulnerable young West Australians between the ages of 12-25.
All riders pay $1,500 to Youth Focus which covers the cost of our support vehicles, accomodation and food and we need to raise over $5,000 in order to participate in the ride. 100 % of all funds raised go directly towards Youth Focus.
