This is my 5th year riding in the Hawaiian Ride For Youth. While I came to the ride with little riding ability (and many would say nothing has changed...), it has been my absolute pleasure to participate in this great event and see the extra-ordinary work that Youth Focus does with the funds we help raise.
I am a member of Team Murdoch and we are grateful for Murdoch University's ongoing support. In 2018 our team will start in Geraldton, riding through Morawa, Dalwallinu, New Norcia and Northam before arriving back in Perth.
During this 700km ride we will visit high schools in these towns to engage and inform students on issues of youth suicide, depression, anxiety and self-harm, as well as the services that Youth Focus provides.
The ride week, while a pinnacle for the riders, is just the culmination of 6 months hard work and commitment by all the riders to not only get fit for the event but to continue to share Youth Focus' mission.
