Youth Focus Induction Evening

The Youth Focus Induction Evening was held on 9 August at the Burswood office. The first-time riders who attended were given an introduction to the Ride and the valuable work that Youth Focus does in the Western Australian community.

The session was led by Phil Renshaw, Committee Chair, who impressed on riders the purpose, vision and core values of the Hawaiian Ride for Youth.

Fiona Kalaf, Youth Focus CEO, spoke about the purpose of Youth Focus and the link between funds raised by the Hawaiian Ride for Youth and the provision of services for young people such as face-to-face counselling and education programs.

The evening was rounded out by Youth Focus counsellor, Scott Nodwell, sharing with the group a client’s journey and the positive impact Youth Focus can have on a young person’s life.
