Goal $2,000,000

Australia’s premier charity event for the prevention of youth suicide and depression

The Hawaiian Ride for Youth is held annually over 4.5 days, with riders travelling from Albany to Perth over a total of more than 2,000kms to raise funds and awareness for Youth Focus. While cycling through towns in WA’s South West, Great Southern and Wheatbelt the riders visit high schools to engage and inform students on issues of youth suicide, depression, anxiety and self-harm, as well as the services that Youth Focus provides.

Supporting young people and their mental health

Youth Focus delivers frontline services and education programs which aim to reduce symptoms associated with suicide, depression, anxiety and self-harm, and build long-term mental wellbeing to help young people reach their full potential.

In addition to its signature service offering of free, face-to-face professional counselling for 12 to 25 year olds, Youth Focus engages with communities to educate and build awareness about youth mental health issues and suicide prevention. As part of this engagement, the organisation also delivers education programs in schools and communities across Western Australia.

Youth Focus is also the lead agency for four headspace centres across WA. Learn more here.

How will my donation make a difference?

Funds raised by the Hawaiian Ride for Youth directly support Youth Focus in building brighter futures for young Western Australians and their families while creating stronger, more resilient future generations.

Each year, Youth Focus supports more than 12,000 young Western Australians with free and uncapped face-to-face counselling, assessment and education from offices, schools, outreach locations and headspace.

The Youth Focus mission is to equip young people who experience mental health challenges to lead meaningful lives.
