Heading into my 4th year of participating in this incredible experience. Ticking the incorrect box on a tax declaration provided enough funds to be able to purchase a suitable bike in 2008 and the riding began! Serendipity?
Every year has offered it's unique character and 2012 is proving to be nothing short of very exciting. Lots of new elements. The two pelotons, many more women involved in this ride (go girls!) and the new course. On top of that I am moved each time I reflect on what the 200 individuals that will have been involved in this ride over the 10 years has been able to give to our community.
Preparing for the ride is nothing short of exhausting at times but it is without doubt made all that much easier from the “characters” in the peloton and the laughter that follows us everywhere.
The 2012 CSBP team members are exceptional in all ways. Julia Brown, Ben Lisle, Geoff Blacklock and the Anthony Robinson. Just a great bunch of inspiring people that I am proud to have on our team.
Thank you for supporting Youth Focus through my riding efforts. It is very much appreciated.
