2012 will be the first time I have participated in this fantastic event, an opportunity that I am very excited (and somewhat nervous!) about taking up. At the start of 2010 I decided to take up riding to keep up fitness because my dodgy knees wouldn’t allow me to do much else. Riding from home to work over 20kms seemed like a serious challenge at the time. As part of our commitment to the ride we are undertaking training 3-4 times a week, getting up at the crack of dawn, and riding around 200kms per week for the next 5 months!

As the father of two young boys i believe it is vital to give our support to our youth of today.
