2012 will be my 8th Ride for Youth. I first became involved in ride when a friend of one of my 3 children took her life. The impact of her death is still felt 8 years later. 

Why ride so many times? Well the answer to that is many fold. I do it as a memorial for Mandy - she remains important to our family. I do it because of the outstanding work of Youth Focus that protects so many vulnerable people  from harm.  I do it for the great comaraderie of the riders, for my own fitness and wellbeing. 

This ride has given me more than I have given it. Highlights: Doing the Ride for Youth with my son Sam in 2010 and then my wife Beth in 2011.
