Have started a local riding group with some dads from our local school.  We have also, successfully organized sponsorship of our Cyclosportif team via Enjo. 

Our “training” includes:

·         a regular Saturday round the river ride followed by après velo coffee stop;

·         a Tuesday and occasional Thursday pre-work ride; and

·         “epic” rides 130+km rides on long weekends.

I have three young children two boys and a girl and appreciate the challenges of raising children in the context of our “modern” lives.  We are social beings and the demands placed on us through our various commitments isolate us from what we all desperately need, community engagement.

This an opportunity to engage with the community and achieve multiple outcomes: supporting and raising the awareness of Youth Focus and its services, being a role model for my children and others in engaging in community programs, and engaging with other members of the wider community.
