This is my 6th ride. Why? It has everything - a critical and avoidable societal tragedy that needs to be urgently addressed, engages the community, raises awareness, money and provides hope, a physical challenge that keeps me fit, and you get to understand what teamwork really means. 

I have worked in Health for 30 years as a health professional and the last 19 years managing health service delivery. Almost all of our health issues result from the life style we lead. Australians have become dependent on institutions or others resolving their health issues, and yet the best we can do is help people find their own solutions and change their own behaviours. This is reinforced by the work of Youth Focus and the challenge of the ride

Youth Focus does help young people and their families seek help and learn how to live and manage difficult situations, For the riders, the training helps us discover the depth of our own resources and, with commitment, reaching well beyond what we thought was possible.
