Training for the 2016 Hawaiian Ride for Youth has officially begun. Over the next six months, under the guidance of Peter Trench and the coaching team, 170 riders will train three days a week completing approximately 4,500 km to ensure they are well prepared for the big ride in April 2016.
Team Murdoch University held its fundraising dinner on Friday 30 October. It was a packed house with 50 guests who were treated to a delicious seven-course degustation at Sayers Sister Café in North Perth.
The evening also involved a silent auction with guests bidding on a number of items including signed guitars, jewellery and wine. Thank you to everyone who donated an item for the auction.
The Hawaiian Ride for Youth Hall of Fame was established in 2012 to recognise individuals who have gone above and beyond to raise both awareness of youth mental health, and crucial funding for Youth Focus. At the 2016 Hawaiian Ride for Youth Launch, the following people were inducted into the Hall of Fame- Mark Leaker, Roger Steinepreis, Rik Thornton and Simon Williamson.
