No incidents this year, no tyres rolling off the bus with the only complaint being that the video didn’t work so the guys and gals could not watch the obligatory movie on the way to Albany.

The dinner and evening with all teams feeling the adrenalin pumping combined with some small amounts of anxiety in what tomorrow would bring saw everyone having a great time and the camaraderie already being felt.

We were lucky enough to have Jon Doust a local Albany resident, comedian, journalist whose latest book “Boy on a Wire” is having great reviews, speak to the RFY teams as our guest speaker. His heartrending story of addiction, alcoholism and his humour made for a very emotive delivery.

Fines got off to a roaring start with seemingly several members being labeled early in the piece – however, great hilarity and a positive start to many nights of fun as teams and fellow riders take turns teasing one another on events that happened during the course of the day.
